The U.S. Men’s Olympic Basketball team overpowered Australia bouncing back from a shaky start in the second-half.
Team USA played extremely well in the first-half but Australia made sure they didn’t stray too far away putting the pressure on the U.S. With the aid of Kobe Bryant’s 6 three-pointers (four of which were back-to-back), LeBron James’ historic triple-double (11 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists), and his 12 assists tying the U.S. Olympic single-game high; Team USA pulled ahead of Australia and secured their position in the semifinals.
Team USA will be matched up against Argentina, who knocked out Brazil (82-77) to advance to the semi-finals, on Friday, August 10th.
